John Carroll University is a private Jesuit Catholic institution located in University Heights, Ohio. The 62-acre residential suburban campus lies just a few miles east of downtown Cleveland, a lively metropolitan area offering the largest city park system in the country, and a short drive from Lake Erie. On the academic side, the university has a student faculty ratio of 14 to 1. John Carroll offers over 30 undergraduate programs in liberal arts and sciences and business as well as 16 master’s degree programs. Biology, psychology and communications are among the most popular undergraduate areas of study; popular graduate programs include business administration and counseling psychology. John Carroll offers a number of opportunities for students to get involved on campus, including over 100 clubs and organizations as well as intramural and club sports and other student activities. The John Carroll University Blue Streaks compete in the NCAA Division III Ohio Athletic Conference. The university fields ten men's and nine women's varsity sports.
