Located on a 160-acre park-like campus in Huntington, Indiana, Huntington University is a small, private, Christ-centered university affiliated with the Church of the United Brethren in Christ. Fort Wayne is a little over half an hour away. The school has a 13 to 1 student / faculty ratio, and Huntington frequently ranks well among colleges in the Midwest. Professional fields such as business and education are popular among undergraduates. The university places great emphasis on service, volunteerism, and spiritual growth. There are a number of student-led clubs and activities, from academic groups to performing arts ensembles to religious clubs. In athletics, the Huntington University Foresters compete in the NAIA Mid-Central Conference (MCC). Popular sports include basketball, track and field, soccer, volleyball, bowling, and tennis.
