Huntingdon College Description:

Located on a 67-acre campus in a residential neighborhood of Montgomery, Alabama, Huntingdon College has a rich history dating back to 1854. This small private college has ties to the United Methodist Church. Huntingdon students come from 20 states and several countries. Students can choose from over 20 majors and several pre-professional programs. Business administration is by far the most popular field of study. Academics are supported by a 15 to 1 student / faculty ratio and an average class size of 20. The curriculum is centered on "The Huntingdon Plan" -- a model that emphasizes critical thinking, service and faculty-student interaction. The plan also has some attractive financial features: study-abroad costs are mostly covered by tuition and fees, and students are guaranteed level tuition payments for all four years of college. Student life is active with over 50 clubs and organizations including a non-residential fraternity and sorority system. In athletics, the most teams of the Huntingdon Hawks compete in the NCAA Division III Great South Athletic Conference (GSAC).
