Hope College Description:

Established in 1851 and chartered in 1866, Hope College is a private liberal arts college located in Holland, Michigan, an historic town on Lake Macatawa, five miles from Lake Michigan. The school is affiliated with the Reformed Church in America, and about 17% of Hope students are from the RCA. Hope has wide-ranging strengths in the arts, sciences, humanities and professional fields. The school has a 13 to 1 student / faculty ratio, and strengths in the liberal arts and sciences earned Hope a chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. Hope is also one of the forty colleges distinguished in Loren Pope's College's That Change Lives.
