Greensboro College Description:

Affiliated with the United Methodist Church, Greensboro College is a small, private liberal arts college located in Greensboro, North Carolina. The green, tree-covered, 80-acre campus sits in a historic district of the city, and students are close to the heart of Greensboro and its entertainment and shopping opportunities. The University of North Carolina at Greensboro is just a few blocks away, so students can take advantage of the social and cultural opportunities offered at the much larger neighboring school. The college's academics are supported by small classes and a healthy 12 to 1 student / faculty ratio. Outside of the classroom, students can choose from over 60 different organizations including a rich spiritual and religious sector run by the Office of Religious Life. The college competes in the NCAA Division III, with 18 different sporting teams in the USA South Athletic Conference. Popular sports include football, basketball, lacrosse, soccer, and swimming.
