Grand Valley State University Description:
Established in 1960, Grand Valley State University is a public university located on a 1,280-acre campus in Allendale, Michigan, 12 miles west of Grand Rapids. Undergraduates can choose from 77 majors. Programs in business are some of the most popular among undergraduates, and the Seidman College of Business is well regarded nationally. The university has also been identified in national publications as an "up-and-coming" school and a good value. Academically motivated students should check out the Frederik Meijer Honors College and its interdisciplinary curriculum and living-learning opportunities. In athletics, the Grand Valley State Lakers compete in the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).
