Glenville State College Description:

Founded in 1872, Glenville State College is a public, four-year college located in Glenville, West Virginia. The school's 1,700 students are supported by a 16 to 1 student/faculty ratio and an average class size of about 19. GSC offers over 40 degree programs across its academic departments of Fine Arts, Business, Education, Social Science, Science and Mathematics, Language and Literature, and Land Resources. The college has a 30-acre main campus and another 325 acres spread across other wooded locations. GSC students stay active outside of the classroom with a fraternity and sorority system, intramural sports, and a host of student clubs and organizations including Collegiate 4-H, the FLW Fishing Club, and a Science Fiction and Fantasy Guild. On the intercollegiate athletics front, the Glenville State Pioneers compete in the NCAA Division II Mountain East Conference (MED) with six men’s and six women’s sports including cross country, golf, football, and track and field.
