Florida Southern College Description:

Florida Southern College's attractive 100-acre campus sits on a hillside overlooking Lake Hollingsworth in Lakeland, Florida. The campus features numerous gardens and green spaces, and it has become a popular destination for visitors because it is home to the largest college of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture on a single site. Florida Southern frequently ranks highly for both its academics and its value. The curriculum has a liberal arts core, yet professional programs in business, nursing and education are quite popular with undergraduates. Nearly all students receive grant aid. Students come from 41 states and 31 countries. Students at Florida Southern College will have lots of interaction with the faculty -- the school has a 12 to 1 student / faculty ratio and an average class size of 20. In athletics, the Florida Southern Mocs (Moccasins) compete in the NCAA Division II Sunshine State Conference.
