Florida Tech Description:

The Florida Institute of Technology, or Florida Tech, is a private technical research university located in Melbourne, a town on Florida's east coast. Florida Tech also has a significant online presence. The institute has done well in numerous rankings for its value, its ROTC program, and the quality of its science and engineering programs. Nature lovers should note that the 130-acre campus includes a 30-acre botanical garden that is home to about 200 different species of palms. On the athletic front, the Florida Tech Panthers compete in the NCAA Division II Sunshine State Conference.
