Fayetteville State University Admissions Overview:

Six out of ten applicants were admitted to Fayetteville State in 2016, and the school's admissions are not highly competitive. Many applicants get in with grades and standardized test scores that are below average. Students will need to submit an application, scores from the SAT or the ACT, high school transcripts, and a personal statement. Campus visits aren't required, but are encouraged for any prospective students.

Fayetteville State University is a four-year public university in Fayetteville, North Carolina. This historically Black university has a student/faculty ratio of 19 to 1, a student body of about 6,000, and ranking among the nation’s most diverse campus communities. FSU students can choose from a wide variety of clubs and organizations as well as intramural sports such as flag football and jujitsu. On the varsity front, the Fayetteville State Broncos compete in the NCAA Division II Central Intercollegiate Athletics Association (CIAA). The university takes pride in its athletic programs, and ten of the CIAA teams have won conference championships. FSU also did well with the National Survey of Student Engagement: the university was ranked as one of twenty higher education institutions in the nation that had exemplary educational practices. FSU can also boast of an honors program for high achieving students, online and summer courses, and many new or newly renovated buildings on campus.
