Fairleigh Dickinson University has four campuses -- two in New Jersey, one in England and a new facility in Vancouver, British Columbia -- making it the largest private university in New Jersey. The Metropolitan Campus focuses more on professional fields than the College at Florham. Located in Teaneck, New Jersey, the Metropolitan Campus spans the Hackensack River and is located close to New York City. The majority of students commute, but students come from 63 countries and the university has recently expanded its residential opportunities. The FDU Metropolitan campus is divided into three distinct colleges: the Silberman College of Business, the University College, and the Petrocelli College of Continuing Studies. On the athletic front, the FDU Knights compete in the NCAA Division I Northeast Conference. Some of the most popular sports include basketball, cross country, soccer, track, and volleyball.
