Edgewood College Description:
A Catholic liberal arts college in the Dominican tradition, Edgewood College calls Madison, Wisconsin, its home. The college is dedicated to the pursuit of truth regardless of spiritual beliefs, and Edgewood seeks to create students who will be part of a global community that strives for a just and compassionate world. With an average class size of 15 and a student to faculty ratio of 13 to 1, Edgewood can offer its students small classes and ready access to their professors. Students in all majors are strongly encouraged to do an internship while at Edgewood because the college believes in learning both within and outside of the classroom. The college is committed to sustainability and has an eatery on campus that in 2009 was the first to earn a 'Green Restaurant Certification' from the Green Restaurant Association. Student life is active with over 50 clubs and organizations. On the athletic front, the Edgewood Eagles compete in the NCAA Division III Northern Athletics Conference. The college fields nine women's and seven men's intercollegiate sports.
