Eastern Michigan University is a comprehensive public university located in Ypsilanti, Michigan, a small city in the southeast of the state between Ann Arbor and Detroit. Eastern Michigan University has well-regarded programs in business, forensics and education, to name a few. The university also wins high marks for its African-American graduation numbers. On the student-life front, EMU has over 340 student clubs and organizations and an active Greek system. In athletics, the EMU Eagles compete in the NCAA Division I Mid-American Conference.
