D’Youville College Description:

D'Youville College would more accurately be called a university -- this private institution with a Catholic heritage offers bachelor's, master's, doctoral, and advanced certificate programs. The college's health-related fields are particularly strong, and at the undergraduate level the nursing major has the highest enrollments. Even professional fields have a liberal arts core, and undergraduates can choose from 27 degree programs spanning professional fields and the liberal arts and sciences. Academics are supported by a 13 to 1 student / faculty ratio. The school occupies an urban campus in Buffalo, New York. The Peace Bridge and the northeast tip of Lake Erie are just a few blocks away. Student life is active with a wide range of clubs and activities, and lots of opportunities for students to get involved and take on leadership roles. On the athletic front, the D'Youville Spartans compete in the NCAA Division III Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference. The college fields seven men's and eight women's intercollegiate sports.
