With an acceptance rate of 35%, Corban is a selective school. The majority of those who apply will not be admitted, although the admissions bar isn't overly high. Corban University Description:

Established in 1935, Corban University has seen its home move from Phoenix, Arizona, to Oakland, California, to its current location in Salem, Oregon. Salem is the state's capital and home to Willamette University. Western Oregon University is nearby. Corban is a Christian university affiliated with the Baptist Church, and the school's curriculum is Christ-centered and promotes a biblical worldview. The university offers over 50 academic programs among which business and psychology are most popular. Students, while able to major in any of the offered programs, are required to take a minimum set of Bible-centered class. Academics are supported by a 13 to 1 student / faculty ratio.

In addition to religious-based groups and clubs, students have the chance to join athletic teams, service projects, and a number of other student-run groups and organizations. Annual events, from the Beach Party to the Turkey Trot, help students become a close-knit community. On the athletic front, the Corban University Warriors compete in the NAIA Cascade Collegiate Conference. The university fields six men's and seven women's intercollegiate teams.
