Mount Saint Vincent Description:

Founded as a college for women in 1847, College of Mount Saint Vincent is now a private coeducational liberal arts college offering a range of bachelor's and master's degree programs. The 70-acre campus in Riverdale, New York, overlooks the Hudson River and sits just 12 miles from the heart of Manhattan. Many students take advantage of the proximity to the city for internship opportunities. The college offers over 40 majors and minors, and at the undergraduate level business and nursing are the most popular. Academic programs are supported by a 13 to 1 student / faculty ratio. On the athletic front, the Mount Saint Vincent Dolphins compete in the NCAA Division III Skyline Conference for most sports. The college fields seven men's and seven women's intercollegiate sports.
