Colby-Sawyer College Description:

Colby-Sawyer College has the look and feel of a small New England liberal arts college, but it has an emphasis on professional preparation that is unusual in a school of 1,100 students. The college was founded in 1837 and is located on an attractive 200-acre red-brick campus in New London, New Hampshire. Boston is 90 minutes to the south. Health, education, and business fields are among the most popular, and Colby-Sawyer academics are supported by a healthy 11 to 1 student / faculty ratio and an average class size of 17. The great majority of students receive some form of grant aid, and almost all students complete one or more internships by the time of graduation. In athletics, the Colby-Sawyer Chargers compete in the NCAA Division III Commonwealth Conference for most sports. The college fields nine women's and eight men's intercollegiate sports. Popular choices include soccer, tennis, basketball, swimming, track and field, and skiing.
