Chestnut Hill College Admissions Overview:

Chestnut Hill requires prospective students to send in test scores from either the SAT or ACT. The school admits around six out of every ten applicants, making it accessible to interested students. In addition to an application form and test scores, students should send in letters of recommendation, high school transcripts, and a personal essay. Students interested in applying to Chestnut Hill should contact the admissions office, and/or schedule a campus visit and personal interview.

Chestnut Hill College Description:

Located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Chestnut Hill College is a private Roman Catholic college of about 1,500 undergraduates who are supported by a student/faculty ratio of 10:1. The college is just 20 minutes away from Center City Philadelphia (see all Philadelphia area colleges), but for those who don’t like travel, there is plenty to do on campus. Chestnut Hill has more than 30 student clubs and activities, ranging from archery to poetry, and the school is a member of the NCAA Division II Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) with 14 teams. It is also home to the Annual Philadelphia Brotherly Love Cup Quidditch Tournament, which is part of the Harry Potter Weekend. Not only does Chestnut Hill have a Harry Potter Alliance club, but for one weekend a year, the campus is awash with wizarding-themed activities, including a Diagon Alley Straw Maze and a showing of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. It may not come as a surprise that Chestnut Hill made my list of Top Colleges for Harry Potter Fans.
