Centenary College of Louisiana Description:

Founded in 1825, Centenary College of Louisiana is among the oldest colleges in the country. Located in Shreveport, Louisiana, Centenary ranks well among colleges in the Southeast for both its value and its overall quality. Financial aid is strong, with nearly all students receiving some form of significant grant aid. Students come from 27 states and 7 countries, although nearly two-thirds come from Louisiana. Students can expect to know their professors well - the college has an 8 to 1 student / faculty ratio, and an average class size of 12. On the athletic front, Centenary had been the smallest Division I school in the country. In July of 2011 the Centenary Gents and Ladies joined the Division III American Southwest Conference. Popular sports include soccer, track and field, basketball, and tennis.
