Carroll University Description:

Established in 1846, Carroll University is one of the oldest four-year colleges in Wisconsin (Beloit College was also established in 1846). Carroll is a Christian liberal arts college located in the heart of Waukesha, a city located about half an hour west of Milwaukee. Students come from 24 states and 25 countries. The academic experience is built upon Carroll's "Four Pillars" -- integrated knowledge, gateway experiences, lifelong skills and enduring values. Many of the most popular majors are in professional fields -- business, nursing, exercise science and education. Academics are supported by a 16 to 1 student / faculty ratio. Student life is active with about 50 clubs and organizations. In athletics, the Carroll University Pioneers compete in the NCAA Division III Midwest Conference. The university fields ten men's and ten women's Division III sports.
