Cameron University Admissions Overview:

Cameron University has open admissions. This means that all interested students have the opportunity to attend the university as long as the student has successfully completed an adequate high school curriculum. However, students will still need to fill out and submit an application. Other requirements could include submitting high school transcripts, a writing sample, and letters of recommendation. Cameron University Description:

Founded in 1908, Cameron University is a 4-year, public college located in Lawton, Oklahoma. CU is the largest 4-year university in southwest Oklahoma and has the second lowest cost of any Oklahoma university. CU supports over 6,000 students, including 300 international students, with a student/faculty ratio of 18 to 1. The college offers a wide range of majors and over 50 degree programs between their School of Education & Behavioral Sciences, School of Business, School of Liberal Arts, School of Science and Technology, and Graduate Studies. The school's most popular program is a two-year business degree, and at the bachelor's level professional fields such as business, criminal justice, and education are popular. The university takes pride in the quality of its four-year degree programs, and the "Cameron University Guarantee" offers free supplemental education to any graduate whose employer finds deficiencies in the graduate's field of study. Cameron also has a strong Army Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) program, and CU was ranked third in the nation for its Outstanding ROTC unit. For engagement outside of the classroom campus, CU is home to over 80 student clubs and organizations, as well as several intramural sports, two fraternities, and four sororities. The college also has ten teams competing in intercollegiate athletics where the Aggies compete as members of the NCAA Division II Lone Star Conference. Popular sports include track and field, volleyball, tennis, and basketball.
