California University of Pennsylvania Admissions Overview:

With an acceptance rate of 96%, California University isn't overly selective; students with good grades and test scores at or above average have a good chance of being admitted. Prospective students are asked to submit scores from either the SAT or ACT as part of the application. California University of Pennsylvania Description:

Located 35 miles from Pittsburgh, California University of Pennsylvania is a public, four-year university on 294 acres in the town of California, Pennsylvania. California University, or Cal U, supports about 8,600 students with a student/faculty ratio of 22 to 1. They offer over 120 undergraduate majors and 35 graduate programs across their College of Education and Human Services, Eberly College of Science and Technology, College of Liberal Arts, and School of Graduate Studies and Research. Cal U students balance academics with participation in over 100 student clubs and organizations, including a Games Club, Martial Arts Club, and Ballroom and Latin Dance Club. Cal U also has a host of intramural sports as well as seven fraternities and five sororities. As for intercollegiate athletics, Cal U competes in the NCAA Division II Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) in sports such as men’s and women’s soccer, golf, and cross country.
