Cal State Bakersfield is located on a 375-acre campus in Bakersfield, a city in the San Joaquin Valley situated midway between Fresno and Los Angeles. The university offers 31 bachelor's and 17 graduate degree programs. Among undergraduates, business administration and the liberal arts and sciences are the most popular majors. Most students commute to Cal State Bakersfield, but the school does have 90 student clubs and organizations. In athletics, the Roadrunners have had excellent success in Division II athletics, and they are currently transitioning to Division I. Bakersfield is one of the 23 Cal State schools.
