Bluefield State College Description:

Bluefield State College is a public, four-year college located in Bluefield, West Virginia. It is a historically Black college that supports a student body of about 1,500 with a student/faculty ratio of 14 to 1. BSC offers a host of undergraduate degrees across their schools of Business, Education, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, Nursing and Allied Health, and Arts and Sciences. For over a decade, BSC has been included in the U.S. News & World Report list of "America's Best Colleges." Students stay busy outside of the classroom, for BSC is home to numerous student clubs and organizations, as well as fraternities and sororities. The college also has intramural sports including Water Polo, Billiards, and Call of Duty Tournaments. For intercollegiate athletics, BSC competes in the NCAA Division II West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC) with sports like men’s golf, women’s volleyball, and men’s and women’s tennis. The college hosts five men's and five women's intercollegiate sports.
