Bloomfield College Description:

Established in 1868, Bloomfield College is a four-year, Presbyterian school located in suburban Bloomfield, New Jersey, just fifteen miles outside of New York City. With a student/faculty ratio of 16 to 1 and an average class size of 16, the 2,100 undergraduates receive plenty of individualized instruction from their professors. Bloomfield has an especially strong nursing program, which has been accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education as well as the New Jersey Board of Nursing. The arts and social sciences are also extremely popular among undergraduates. The college boasts over 47 clubs and organizations including 14 fraternities and sororities. On the athletic front, Bloomfield is a member of the NCAA Division II Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference and host to a variety of men’s, women’s, and intramural sports. The college is proud of is its technological innovation, with each student having his or her own “virtual workspace” on the college’s network, used for creating and turning in coursework.
