Benedictine College Description:
Benedictine College is a private, Catholic, liberal arts college located in Atchinson, Kansas, a small city on the Missouri River. In recent years the college has grown significantly with record enrollments and the completion of a $70 million capital campaign. Campus upgrades include the building of new residence halls, the installation of new athletic fields, and the construction of Marian Grotto, an attractive location for prayer. Undergraduates at Benedictine can choose from about 60 academic majors and minors including four pre-professional fields. Business administration is most popular among bachelor's-degree students. Campus life is active, and over 80% of students live in campus housing. Students can choose from a wide-range of clubs, activities, and organizations. On the athletic front, the Benedictine Ravens compete in the NAIA Heart of America Athletic Conference. The college fields seven men's and seven women's intercollegiate sports.
