Belmont Abbey isn't a highly selective school; about seven out of every ten students who apply are admitted. As part of the application process, applicants must submit scores from either the SAT or ACT. The majority of applicants submit SAT scores, but both tests are accepted equally. Belmont Abbey College Description:

Located just minutes from Charlotte, Belmont Abbey College is a private, four-year Roman Catholic college in Belmont, North Carolina. With about 1,700 students and a student/faculty ratio of 17 to 1, Belmont Abbey is on the smaller side. In 2006, U.S. News & World Report ranked Belmont Abbey first in North Carolina and second in the Southeast for class size. There is no lack of things to do on campus, as the college is home to a host of student clubs and organizations, sororities, fraternities, and intramural sports. Belmont Abbey is a member of the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas, and their baseball team, the Crusaders, have been ranked third in the nation. For those entering college over the age of 23, Belmont Abbey offers a specially designed Adult Degree Program that only requires two nights a week for classes.
