Bellarmine University is a Catholic university located on the edge of downtown Louisville, Kentucky. The university is walking distance to many of Louisville's shops, coffee houses and restaurants. Bellarmine takes pride in its 12 to 1 student / faculty ratio, its average class size of 19, and the quality of its teaching. Popular major for undergraduates include nursing, business, psychology, biology, and education. The university also offers a robust internship program and study abroad opportunities in over 50 countries on six continents. In athletics, the Bellarmine Knights compete in NCAA Division II except for the Division I lacrosse team. Popular sports include swimming and diving, track and field, lacrosse, basketball, and volleyball.
