Asbury University Description:

Founded in 1890, Asbury University is a private Christian university located in Wilmore, Kentucky, about 20 minutes southwest of Lexington. The university takes its Christian identity seriously, and the school's Cornerstone Project emphasizes "scripture, holiness, stewardship and mission." Asbury students come from 44 states and 14 countries. Undergraduates can choose from 49 majors with professional fields such as business, education and communications being among the most popular. Academics are supported by a 15 to 1 student / faculty ratio. In athletics, the Asbury Eagles compete in NAIA Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference for most sports. The university fields six men's and seven women's intercollegiate teams.
