Angelo State University's 268-acre campus is located in San Angelo, a small city in West Texas. The university became part of the Texas Tech University System in 2007, and in 2010 ASU was listed in Princeton Review's The Best 371 Colleges for its value, engaged professors and strong science programs. The university's strategic plan calls for significant growth in the coming decade. The college has a 19 to 1 student faculty ratio, and students can choose from nearly 100 majors. On the athletic front, the ASU Rams and Rambelles compete in the NCAA Division II Lone Star Conference.
