Albany State University had an acceptance rate of 50 percent in 2016, but the school is not overly selective. Some admitted students have grades and ACT/SAT scores that are below average. A "B" average in high school course work is typical. To apply, students must complete on online application, submit high school transcripts, and submit scores from either the SAT or the ACT (either test is acceptable). The writing component of both tests is not required for admission. Applicants must also have at least a 2.0 GPA for consideration.
