Adams State College Description:
Adams State College is a public liberal arts college located in Alamosa, Colorado. The 90-acre campus sits in the San Luis Valley surrounded by stunning natural beauty. The city of Pueblo is about two hours to the northeast. Adams State students can choose from 16 majors and 28 minors. Business is the most popular among undergraduates, and education and counseling dominate at the master's level. Academics are supported by an 18 to 1 student faculty ratio, and professors serve as students' academic advisors. Student life is active with over 40 clubs and organizations. On the athletic front, the Adams State Grizzlies compete in the NCAA Division II Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The college fields nine men's and nine women's intercollegiate sports.
