Washington State University in Pullman rests on 620 acres on the eastern side of Washington State, just a few miles from the University of Idaho. The university offers over 200 areas of study. About fifteen percent of WSU students belong to sororities or fraternities. In athletics, the Washington State University Cougar's biggest athletic rival is the University of Washington. Both schools compete in the Division I Pacific 10 Conference. WSU has one of the largest athletic centers in the country.
