The multiple campuses of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette total about 1,400 acres, with the main campus occupying 137 acres. Other locations include UL Lafayette's athletic complex, the Equine Center, and the 600-acre farm/renewable resources laboratory. This research-intensive university has 10 different schools and colleges with Business, Education, and General Studies being quite popular among undergraduates. The school has been recognized by Princeton Review for its value. In athletics, the UL Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns compete in the NCAA Division I Sun Belt Conference.
