If your SAT/ACT scores and GPA fall within the school's required range, you have a strong chance of being accepted. Potential applicants should have a minimum of four units of English; two units of algebra (algebra I and algebra II); one unit of geometry or higher; one additional unit of math; three units of natural science; one unit of United States history; one unit of European history, world history, or world geography; two units of a single foreign language; and one unit of visual and performing arts.

Applicants who do note meet the criteria for guaranteed admission may be admitted to MTSU by review. All applicants who are not offered guaranteed admission are considered for conditional admission through a review process. Students being considered by review will be asked to submit a personal statement form. The admissions office will consider high school coursework, AP, honors, or dual enrollment classes, and any extenuating circumstances cited in the application.
