Mars Hill University Admissions Overview:

Mars Hill, with an acceptance rate of 57%, is between open and selective. Students will need to submit an application, along with official high school students and scores from the SAT or ACT. Scores from both tests are accepted equally; slightly more applicants submit SAT scores, but neither test is preferred above the other. Mars Hill University Description:

Founded in 1856 by Baptists, Mars Hill University takes pride in the close relationships that form between students, faculty, and staff. The university emphasizes service, and Christian ethics are central to the curriculum. Students are supported by a  healthy 12 to 1 student / faculty ratio. MHU's  attractive 194-acre campus is located in Mars Hill, North Carolina. Knoxville and Charlotte are each about two hours away. MHU offers a total of 5 bachelor degrees in 30 majors and 61 concentrations. Students can complement their degrees with a choice of 33 minors. Student stay involved outside of the classroom through a range of intramurals, fraternities, sororities, and 43 student clubs and organizations. One big group on campus is the Bailey Mountain Cloggers, which is one of a small number of college-based performing clog teams in the country. For intercollegiate athletics, MHU has 19 varsity sports and competes in the NCAA Division II South Atlantic Conference (SAC). MHC is very proud of its relatively new cycling team, which is also at the Division II level.
