Pfeiffer University is a private United Methodist college located in Misenheimer, North Carolina, about 40 miles from Charlotte, with other locations in Charlotte and Morrisville, North Carolina. There are just over 700 students at the main campus in Misenheimer, but the university has about 2,000 total, a student/faculty ratio of 11 to 1, and an average class size of 13. The university offers a variety of undergraduate, graduate, and adult studies degree programs. Pfeiffer takes pride in its nursing program, and has just dedicated a new state-of-the-art learning facility in the Nursing Department. Pfeiffer is home to over 30 student clubs and 18 intercollegiate sports. The Pfeiffer Falcons compete in the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas. Pfeiffer always challenges its students to think critically, be effective when evaluating information, and use creativity, as shown by its Quality Enhancement Plan for undergraduates, designed to help students with those skills.
