Rust College Admissions Overview:

Rust College has an acceptance rate of 47%, which may seem a bit intimidating to applicants. Still, those with good grades and solid test scores have a good chance of being admitted to the school. Rust College Description:

Founded in 1866, Rust College is a private, four-year college located in Holly Springs, a small city in northern Mississippi about 35 miles from Memphis, Tennessee. Rust is a historically Black college that is affiliated with the United Methodist Church. The college has about 1000 students who are supported by an 18 to 1 student / faculty ratio. Rust offers bachelor’s and associate’s degrees in 22 areas of study. Students stay involved outside of the classroom, and the college has intramural sports, fraternities and sororities, an aquatic center, a movie theater, a student REC center, and a dance room. The World Famous Rust College A’Cappella Choir has done tours through the American Midwest, South, and even Zimbabwe. The Rust College Bearcats compete in intercollegiate athletics at the NCAA Division III level. The college fields teams for sports including track and field, cross country, tennis, soccer, fast-pitch softball, volleyball, and cheerleading.
