Penn State Harrisburg Description:

Penn State Harrisburg is public university located in Middletown, Pennsylvania, a town to the southeast of Pennsylvania's capital city, Harrisburg. The university offers over 65 degree programs, mostly at the bachelor's and master's level. As a member of the Pennsylvania State University system, Penn State Harrisburg also allows students to complete the first two years of the 160 baccalaureate majors offered throughout the system. Professional fields such as engineering, business, and education are among the most popular areas of study. The campus serves a large commuter population, but it does have residential facilities for about 400 students. The university also offers many continuing education and online options. Campus life at Penn State Harrisburg is active with over 50 clubs and organizations including a fraternity and sorority system. The campus also has an active intramural sports program including ultimate frisbee, water polo, bowling, and flag football. At the intercollegiate level, the Penn State Harrisburg Lions compete in the NCAA Division III Capital Athletic Conference. The university fields seven men's and seven women's varsity sports.
