Paul Smith's College, The College of the Adirondacks, is a private, four-year college located in snowy Paul Smiths, New York. It is the only college located in the Adirondack State Park, and it can boast of an impressive 14,200-acre campus. The college offers an intimate academic environment with fewer than 1,000 students supported by a student / faculty ratio of 15 to 1. Paul Smith's offers 18 bachelor's degree programs and 7 associate degree programs through its two schools: The School of Natural Resource Management and Ecology, and the School of Commercial, Applied and Liberal Arts. Students tend to be highly involved with outdoor activities. Intramurals sports include Canoeing, Innertube Water Polo, and Snowshoeing.  The college also has clubs, like the Fly Fishing Club, the Rock Climbing Club, and Whitewater Kayaking Club, and recreational activities including Horseback Riding, Ropes Courses, and Table Tennis. Paul Smith's College competes in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) and the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) with sports that include men’s rugby, women’s volleyball, and cross country. The college also has a college Woodsmen’s Team, and a Nordic Ski team which is a member of the United States Collegiate Ski Association (USCSA).
