Paine College Admissions Overview:

Even though Paine College has an acceptance rate of only 25%, students with good grades and test scores have an excellent chance of being admitted to the school. In order to apply, prospective students will need to submit an application, high school transcripts, scores from the SAT or ACT, letters of recommendation, and a personal essay. Paine College Description:

Founded in 1882, Paine College is a private, four-year college in Augusta, Georgia, about two hours from Atlanta. It is a Historically Black College affiliated with both the United Methodist Church and the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. The 57-acre campus supports almost 900 students, with a student/faculty ratio of 13 to 1. Paine offers a variety of academic programs the School of Arts and Sciences and School of Professional Studies. Students keep themselves busy outside of the classroom, for Paine is home to plenty of student clubs and organizations, an active Greek Life, and numerous intramural sports like dodge ball, basketball, and powder puff football. On the intercollegiate front, the Paine Lions competes in the NCAA Division II Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) with sports including men’s golf, women’s volleyball, and men’s and women’s track and field. In 2014, Paine added football to its offerings.
