Northwestern Oklahoma State University Description:

Northwestern Oklahoma State University is a public, four-year university located in Alva, Oklahoma, with additional locations in Enid and Woodward. Wichita, Kansas, and Oklahoma City are both a little over two hours from NWOSU's main campus. NWOSU offers a wide variety of degrees and programs, including Bachelor’s degrees in over 40 areas of study. The university's roughly 2,000 students are supported by a student / faculty ratio of 17 to 1. For on-campus activities, NWOSU has a long list of student clubs and organizations, as well as one fraternity and two sororities. On the athletic front, the university offers a range of both intramural and intercollegiate sports, including men’s and women’s rodeo. The NWOSU Rangers compete in the NCAA Division II Great American Conference. For outdoor lovers, the surrounding region has a lot to offer including Little Sahara State Park, Alabaster Caverns State Park, the Gloss Mountains, and the Great Salt Plains State Park & Wildlife Refuge.
