Miles College Description:

Founded in 1898, Miles College is a private, four-year college in Fairfield, Alabama, just west of Birmingham. Miles is a historically Black college affiliated with the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. The school's roughly 1,700 students are supported by a healthy 14 to 1 student / faculty ratio. Miles offers a total of 28 bachelor’s degree programs across their divisions of Communications, Education, Humanities, Social and Behavioral Sciences, Natural Sciences and Mathematics, and Business and Accounting. Students stay active outside of the classroom, and Miles is home to a host of student clubs and organizations, as well as a fraternity and sorority system. The Miles  Golden Bears compete in the NCAA Division II Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) with sports including men’s and women’s basketball, track and field, and cross country. In recent years, the Golden Bears have been conference champions in both football and softball.
