Chaminade University of Honolulu Description:

Chaminade University of Honolulu is a four-year, private university located in Honolulu, Hawaii. Founded by Catholic Marianists (the Society of Mary), the school first started educating students in 1955. In 1977, Chaminade added graduate courses and degrees, becoming a true university. Now, the school offers degrees at the Bachelor and Masters level, with criminology, psychology, and nursing being some of the most popular areas of study. With a student/faculty ratio of 11 to 1, Chaminade offers students a personalized learning experience. There are many clubs and student organizations to join; these range from the more academic (Nursing Club, Physics Club, Accounting Club) to the more leisurely (Gamer's Guild, Leisure Poets Society, Silversword Ju-Jitsu) On the athletic front, Chaminade is a member of the NCAA Division II Pacific West Conference.
