Clarks Summit University admitted 43% of students who applied in 2015, and students with good grades and decent test scores are likely to be admitted. Students are required to submit test scores along with their online application. Both the SAT and ACT are accepted. The admission process is holistic and includes short answer questions, an essay, and an interview with an admissions counselor.

Clarks Summit University  is a private, Christian college located in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, a town in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre region of the state. New York City and Philadelphia are each about two hours away. Until recently, the school was known as the Baptist Bible College and Seminary of Pennsylvania. The college's 131-acre campus includes a 4-acre lake, and outdoor lovers will find many opportunities for kayaking, canoeing, skiing, and hiking near campus. The college is residential, and over 90% of undergraduates live in campus residence halls. The college defines itself as faith-centered, and all academic programs have a foundation in Biblical studies. Daily chapel, worship, and service opportunities are all part of the Summit experience. The university takes pride in its average class size of 18 and the personal attention students receive from the faculty. Campus life is active with a range of student clubs, intramural sports, and leadership opportunities in student government and residence life. On the intercollegiate front, the Clarks Summit University Defenders compete in the NCAA Division III Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC). The school fields six men's and six women's sports including basketball, soccer, cross-country, and tennis.
