Question: Do I have to live on campus my first year of college?
Answer: Many schools do have a residency requirement for the first year or two. There are some good reasons for this -- the college staff wants you to feel like part of the campus community, and the residence halls are where you’ll meet many of your new friends. Also, the RAs (Residence Advisors) are a valuable source of important information when you’re new to college life.
