Stillman College Description:

Located on 105 acres on the west side of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Stillman College is a private, four-year historically Black liberal arts college. The University of Alabama is less than three miles away. In 2004, the U.S. News and World Report named Stillman College as one of its top schools. Stillman is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church and supports about 900 students with a student / faculty ratio of 14 to 1. The college offers Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees from its two divisions: Professional Education and Arts and Sciences. Business and biology are among the most popular majors. There is plenty to do on campus, as Stillman College is home to religious and professional student clubs and organizations as well as a thriving Greek life. As for intercollegiate athletics, the Stillman Tigers compete in the NCAA Division II Southern Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (SIAC) with sports including men’s and women’s cross country, tennis, and outdoor track and field. The university fields seven men's and six women's varsity sports.
