Salem International University Description:

Established in 1888, Salem International University is a four-year, private, for-profit university located on 100 acres in Salem, West Virginia. SIU is a small university of about 600 students with a student/faculty ratio of 22 to 1. The school offers associate, bachelor’s, and graduate degrees, including many online degree options, across a host of academic subjects. SIU is especially proud of its programs in Education, Information Technology, Business, and Criminal Justice. For fun on campus, SIU is home to plenty of student clubs and organizations, including many social and Greek clubs, a Book Club, a Drama Club, and a Thrill Seeker Club. SIU also hosts events like bingo nights, game shows, and standup comedy for its students. For intercollegiate athletics, the Salem International University Tigers compete at the NCAA Division II Division II Great Midwest Athletic Conference with sports that include men’s and women’s soccer, cross country, and water polo.
