Mid-America Christian University Admissions Overview:

Mid-America Christian University has open admissions, which means that any eligible students have the opportunity to enroll in the school. Interested students, however, will still need to submit an application, which can be found on MACU's website. Students will need to submit high school transcripts as well. Mid-America Christian University Description:

Located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, MACU is a school of about 2,500 students. Founded in 1953 as the South Texas Bible Institute, MACU changed locations and names a few times, before settling on the current name and location in 1985. It became a full university in 2003. Academics at MACU are supported by a healthy 11 to 1 student / faculty ratio, allowing students a personalized and guided college experience. Students can major in a range of topics, with some of the most popular being in Business, Counseling, and Religious/Theology fields. Degrees at the Associate's, Bachelor's, and Master's levels are available, from the colleges of Liberal Arts, Music, Ministry, and Business (among others). Students can join a number of on-campus, student-run clubs and activities, ranging from the spiritual, to the academic, to the recreational and artistic. On the athletic front the MACU "Evangels" compete in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), within the Sooner Athletic Conference. They are also members of the NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association). Popular sports include cross-country, soccer, basketball, and volleyball.
