Test scores are a required part of the Bacone application—students must submit scores from either the SAT or ACT. More students, in general, submit scores from the SAT, but neither test is preferred over the other. Students with high grades and high test scores have a decent shot of being admitted to Bacone. There is no essay or personal statement component of Bacone's application.

Bacone College Description:

Named after Almon C. Bacone, a missionary teacher, Bacone College was founded in 1885, in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Muskogee is located about two hours east of Oklahoma City, and has a population of around 40,000—students at the school are able to travel to the larger city, while still having enough activities and cultural events nearby. Students at Bacone have many majors to choose from—and can earn an Associate or Bachelor degree. Popular programs include Nursing, Business, and Education fields. Founded as a Christian school (Baptist), Bacone offers a number of ways for students to engage with spiritual life on campus: weekly worship services, various Bible studies, and required religious courses offered on a broad range of sub-topics. Outside of the classroom, students can join a number of on-campus clubs and organizations. At Bacone College, the Center for American Indians, the Center for Christian Ministry, and the Center for Church Relations help carry out the College's missions, started in its earliest days. Athletically, the Bacone College Warriors compete in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) within the Red River Athletic Conference. Popular sports include basketball, football, soccer, golf, and softball.
